This Policy explains what MyBarnBridge.com collects, how we use it, what is public, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how MyBarnBridge.com ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit or use MyBarnBridge.com (the "Site"). It applies to all visitors, registered users, sellers, and buyers. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
MyBarnBridge.com is a listing and connection venue only. We are not a party to any transaction between users, and we do not handle payment or proceeds for livestock sales. Information you exchange directly with another user — by phone, text, email, or in person — is outside our control and is not governed by this Policy.
2. Information You Provide
- Account information: name or ranch name, email address, password credentials, and optionally phone number, location (city and state), bio, and profile photo.
- Listing content: titles, descriptions, prices, categories, location, photos and videos, and animal or equipment details you choose to publish.
- Contact preferences: whether you opt to display a phone number or email address to signed-in users on your listings.
- Messages: the content of in-app messages you send to other users, and support or problem reports you submit.
- Payment-related information: for Featured Listings, equipment listings, and equipment auction fees, our third-party payment processor collects your card or bank details directly. We receive only limited transaction data such as amount, status, last four digits, and a processor reference. We do not store full payment card numbers.
3. Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring page, search terms, and timestamps.
- Listing analytics: views, saves, shares, and contact interactions, which we may show in aggregate to the listing owner.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used for sign-in sessions, security, preferences, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser, but sign-in and some features may not work without them.
- Marketing attribution: UTM or referral parameters in the link you arrive through, so we can understand where members come from.
4. How We Use Information
- To operate the Site, create and secure your account, publish your listings, and enable in-app messaging.
- To process fees for Featured Listings, equipment listings, and equipment auctions.
- To send transactional messages such as verification, password resets, message and watchlist notifications, saved-search alerts, and receipts.
- To moderate content, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, investigate reports, and protect users and the Site.
- To improve the Site, analyze usage, and develop features.
- To send marketing or product updates where permitted; you may unsubscribe at any time.
- To comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
5. What Is Public
Listings — including photos, descriptions, general location, and your public display name and profile — are visible to anyone on the internet and may be indexed by search engines. Phone numbers and email addresses are hidden from the public and are shown only to signed-in members, and only where you have chosen to display them. Do not post information in a listing that you do not want to be public.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as follows:
- With other users, to the extent you publish it in a listing, profile, or message.
- With service providers who host our infrastructure, send email, process payments, or provide analytics and security, under obligations to protect the data.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law, subpoenas, or lawful requests; to cooperate with law enforcement, brand inspectors, or animal health authorities; and to protect the rights, safety, and property of MyBarnBridge.com, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
- In aggregated or de-identified form that cannot reasonably identify you.
7. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and afterward as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. Some records — such as transaction and fee records, moderation history, and messages relevant to a dispute — may be retained after account closure.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and row-level access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit, and any transmission is at your own risk.
9. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and update your profile, contact preferences, and listings at any time from your account.
- Delete your account by emailing [Contact Email]; we will delete or de-identify personal information except where retention is required or permitted by law.
- Opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link. Transactional messages related to your account will continue.
- Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, and Virginia), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. To exercise a right, email [Contact Email]; we may verify your identity and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- Do Not Track signals are not currently honored because there is no common standard.
10. Children
The Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact [Contact Email] and we will delete it.
11. United States Operation
The Site is operated in and directed to users in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you consent to processing and storage of your information in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notice to you. Questions or requests: [Contact Email], or write to MyBarnBridge.com, [Physical Address].
